Complaint: Stay away from LinkDotNet...They will rob you !
The following message from the following group el-shella@yahoogroups.com
I'm not very sure it's right but I think the man is honest ( he included his contact info. and link has many problems like this these days)
================================================
Dear Mr. Khaled Bashara [Chairman of LinkDotNet]
Dear respected members,

I will get directly into the point. BE WARE FROM DEALING WITH LinkDotNet !! Here's a story that shows all factors of corruption, mismanagement, unstructured and a lying organization that will rob you off your money, patience and even sanity .

To cut a long story short…I subscribed with this company for a DSL service [512 MB] for only a 1 year contract to be used in my own company. After 6 months, I decided to transfer the line to my home address to be used from there and they kindly shifted it successfully.

1 year passed by and my signed contract expired . I called the customer service 2 weeks before the contract ends and requested to end the service as soon as the contract due date ends. The 2 weeks passed by [my contract came to an end] and the DSL service was still active !!!! I called again and requested to end the service 2 days later…I waited a couple of days and the DSL service was still active..!!!! To cut it short for you kind readers… I called LinkDotNet customer service up to 15 times requesting the same thing and no response !! You know how long they kept the service running after the contract ended and after me requesting to end it……..1 FULL YEAR

Then I receive the 1st phone call from LinkDotNet and to my surprise…they are bluntly requesting payment for the period that followed the end of my contract !!!! I explained that I had a legal contract that ended and I personally requested to end the service following the expiration of that contract…but again they requested the money and I rejected paying !!! You know what they did……they kept the service running again for more than 2 months…

After receiving more than 10 calls requesting the payment of what they called "late service period" I received the final call from a gentlemen their and check out the conversation:

LinkDotNet Representative: Sir…we need you to pay the money for the period you used after the expiration of your contract
Me:Excuse me; I had a legal paid-up-front contract for a period of 1 year only. LinkDotNet did not end the service neither when the contract expired nor after I called requesting to end it…..therefore, logically I will not pay and legally you are not authorized to ask for the money…as a service company you should have ended the service after the contract expires.
LinkDotNet Representative: [with a threatening voice] You know…I can make you pay that money in different ways…so you better do it yourself nicely !
Me:and how can you do that ?
LinkDotNet Representative: I will upload the amount pending on you to your phone bill
Me:You can not do that... LinkDotNet have no authority to carry out such thing
LinkDotNet Representative: Wait and see…thank you and god bye

Before i go further...here' s a pure example of the people LinkDotNet hire to serve their customer...you and me !!! Here's a worthless pig threatening a customer under the name of LinkDotNet Customer Service

2 days later…I find out that the phone line itself went out of service. I called "El Masria Lel E2tesalat " to report a normal phone line down. Although it takes a maximum of 2 days for "El Masria Lel E2tesalat" to fix the problem…it lasted for 2 weeks !!!!! Later on…an old man from "El Masria Lel E2tesalat"came to check out what's going wrong and fix the problem [although the old man knows nothing about the DSL problem] and surprises me by the fact that the DSL line that I have is the reason why the phone line itself can't function [ i.e. The respected LinkDotNet Co. jammed my line..

BE WARE OF THIS COMPANY….THEY ARE NOT WHAT THEY CLAM THEY ARE
THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL
THEY ARE THIEVES
THEY KNOW NOTHING CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE
THEY HAVE NO MANAGEMENT SKILLS
THEY ARE AFTER YOUR MONEY ONLY

P.S: Please send me your stories if you have/had similar situations with this company. I will sew them in court and I will not step down till I get a formal apology from one of their top management

Re: Complaint: Stay away from LinkDotNet...They will rob you !
Well I also have a SIMILAR problem with that un-professional company!!

* I also subscribed to their DSL service and end of October I knew I was traveling abroad and I won't be using the DSL for 3 months so I wanted to cancel it.

* I called LINKdotNet and one of their customer service representatives answered me, I asked him to cancel my subscribtion for the DSL as I'm traveling in a few days out of Egypt so he said, I can't cancel it you need to go to any of our offices in Dokki or in Ard el Golf and cancel it urself, I told him I am running out of time and I have no time really to go to any offices "first this is really stupid that you can't cancel your subscribtion over the phone, for God's sake we pay all our pills now online from home!!!!)

* After a long conversation between me and him trying to covince him that I have no time, I am traveling and that he can send me the man who collect the pills every month and I'll pay the last pill and that's it, he agreed and he promised to cancel the subscribtion. he sent me the man, I paid the last pill and I thought this is the end - well it's NOT!!!

* I am back to Egypt now and I got schocked when the company that collects their pills called me asking for the money of the last 2 months (when I was out of Egypt and thought they cancelled the subscribtion according to their CS representative!) I told the man I am not using their service anymore I cancelled it 2 months ago, he said I dont know please call them!

* I called LINKdotNet again and I was surprised when another CS representative of course answered the phone and told me, well madame he can't do this, he is not authorized to cancel it over the phone, you should go to the office urself, I asked him then why did he agree and promised doing it! he said I don't know! he asked, do you know his name - of course I DON'T! I am not going to ask a representative about his name, un-usual to happen!

Now I decided not to pay 2 or 3 months of pills for service that I didn't use - as I feel robbed really!!!

No comment I just wonder when are we going to be civilized!!!

Re: Complaint: Stay away from LinkDotNet...They will rob you !
I have a different, but still funny, story with that company.

In a company I used to work for, they had that Linq.net as email provider. So when I joined the company, I had an email with a unique, and very strong, password. Guess waht is it, if you know it's 6 charachters? "123456"!! Yes, this is the password. All new employees had the same unique password.

OK! No problem! Password can be changed, cant' they? Fair enough. I did check the Linq Web site to change the password, but I couldn't find out how. I did contact their support to ask about a way to change the password. Their only and most secure ways to change the password was: Sending the new password by FAX to them, or tell it to the IT staff at my company and they send it to them!!!!

I couldn't beleive what I'm reading! I tried to contact different people at that company, but they all gave the same answer, with the same nice footer to contact the technical support whenever I need a help!

Once I thought that probably if I tell the IT guy to change the password for me and he tells thier support, I'll decrease the number of perosns who know my password to two or three, instead of all the team who has the same password as me! But it took longer than I expected, because they guy who changes the passwords is in a vacation!

Well, I have left that company months ago, without having the password changed!
